Springhill Suites by Marriott Midtown

USA / New Jersey / West New York / East 24th Street, 111

140-foot, 12-story modernist hotel completed in 2021. Designed by Gene Kaufman, it is clad in dark-grey brick. The entrance is at the west end, with sliding glass doors next to a traditional glass door, slightly recessed below a metal-and-glass canopy. To the right are three bays of tall double-windows, and an east bay of double-windows paired with a secondary entrance of recessed glass double-doors. Metal louvers top each window and doorway, surmounted by a lintel of slightly darker brick.

The upper floors have seven bays, the end bays slightly narrower with large single-windows, and the others square with double-windows. The middle three, however, are open, square voids revealing the rest of the building set back behind them, creating a sort of screen wall. Each of the square bays (both those with windows and the empty ones) have darker-grey brick sills and lintels, and there is banding of the same brick at the top and bottom of the piers around the voids on each floor. The end bays have spandrel panels of the darker brick between floors. There is a setback above the 6th floor back to the rest of the building. Behind the screen wall, there are bays of double-windows as well as paired windows. The inward-facing sidewalls of the two wings created have a bay of double-windows toward the back.

The top half of the facade, above the setback, has a double-window bay at the west end, with paired double-windows near the middle and at the east end. The hotel contains 120 guest rooms.
