4-story synagogue and Jewish Center originally completed in 1863. It was radically renovated by architect Gustave Iser in 1945, and then again in 1994. Founded in 1857, the congregation claims to be the oldest synagogue in its original location with continuous services at the same location.

The facade is split into two halves, both faced in white-painted stone above a limestone ground floor with some banding of darker stone. The main entrance is in the west part of the eastern half, with black wooden double-doors below a rounded, navy-blue canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. At the west part of the west half of the ground floor is a secondary entrance, down a couple steps from the sidewalk, with metal double-doors.

The upper floors at the west half have three bays of single-windows, while the east half is dominated by a circular opening of stained glass with metal framing, including a star of David. The roof line is marked by a thin metal cornice.
