castle ruins, archaeological site
The ruined site of an ancient fortified settlement east of Desphina. The fortifications date to the Mycenaean Period (Bronze Age), but the site is believed to have functioned as a Delphian border fort on the frontier with Antikyra to the east. Kastrouli has been subjected to systematic excavation since 2016. Kastrouli has been identified tentatively as Homeric Anemoreia.
