448-foot, 41-story postmodern residential building completed in 1989. Designed by Costas Kondylis of Philip Birnbaum & Associates, it is clad in peach-tan brick, beige terra-cotta and glass. The tower is rotated 45-degrees from the street grid; a non-rotated, 1-story base extends from the tower to the south and west. The main entrance faces the angled northeast corner, with a canopy on brick posts extending halfway across the small plaza created by the angle. On either side are low brick walls with fountains, and behind them are trees and other plantings. The ground floor is clad in red brick with bands of beige terra-cotta. The short section of base fronting 43rd Street has an entrance/exit to the underground parking garage. The base section that runs along Tenth Avenue has four bays of slightly-recessed storefronts with angled upper corners, and another storefront bay on the angled facade to the left of the entrance. Along the top of the ground floor are ornamental white diamond-shapes at the piers and above the entrance. There is a wooden pergola on top of the base section that runs along the avenue.
The upper floors are clad in peach-tan brick with bands of beige terra-cotta; the bands are thinner than those on the ground floor. The tower has multiple chamfered corners, creating numerous wrap-around bay windows. The center bays of each facade project out, with chamfered ends, and those on the southeast and northwest sides have projecting balconies with angled sides and glass-and-metal railings. The notched corners of the tower also have angled balconies with similar railings. The balconies end below the taller top floor, which instead has terraces created by the ending of the projecting sections. On the roof top is a mechanical housing in the form of a stepped pyramid.
The building contains 311 condominium units. On January 5, 2014, a fire broke out in a 20th-story condominium. Damage was limited to that floor, but one person died after trying to evacuate the building through a smoke-filled stairwell. The ground floor is occupied by Pink Treezzz tobacco shop, Walter's Cottage bar, Happy Family Chinese restaurant, Strand Nails, and Rani hair salon and spa.
