 office building, 1870_construction

4-story Italianate office building completed around 1870. It is clad in white-painted brick above a metal-and-glass storefront, with an entrance to the upper floors at the south end. The upper floors have three bays of single-windows with brownstone sills and brown metal cornices - except at the 2nd floor where the two southern windows were replaced by a shorter triple-window in black metal framing, joined to a metal door opening onto a small fire escape landing. There is another landing at the north bay on this floor, at the south bay on the 3rd floor, and across the full 4th floor. The facade is crowned by a dark-brown metal roof cornice with console brackets and panels. The ground floor is occupied by Metro Cafe.
