154-foot, 12-story Neo-Classical office building completed in 1912. Designed by George M. McCabe, it is clad in dark-red coursed brick. The piers rest on grey granite bases, with a dark polished granite water table in between each pier. The facade is divided into five bays; at the ground floor, the two end bays have entrances, and are wider and shorter than the center bays, which are filled with bright, multi-colored panels. At the 2nd floor, the center bays have segmental-arches with rough-faced limestone keystones and high brick voussoirs. The two end bays have paired windows with brick voussoirs and rough-faced keystones. All the windows have white stone sills.

The 3rd floor is framed at top and bottom by projecting stone band courses, the lower one imprinted with the words "MONAHAN EXPRESS COMPANY BUILDING". The center bays on all the upper floors have three windows, which are narrower than the paired windows in the end bays, and lack the keystones, although they all have brick voussoirs. The 11th floor is also framed at top and bottom by stone band courses, wider at the top. The end-bay windows at the top floor are recessed together between the piers, and the center section rises to a peak in the middle of the parapet. The exposed portions of the side elevations are clad in brown brick, with wide single-windows.
