This is a compressed diamond interchange between Virginia Route 7 (Harry Byrd Highway) and Virginia Route 287 (Berlin Turnpike), near Purcellville. When the Hamilton bypass was constructed around 1980, the freeway ended here, but it was extended west around 1987 and widened around 1995. The Washington & Old Dominion Trail passes through the interchange as well.
