6-story Romanesque-revival residential building completed in 1922. Designed by Gronenberg & Leuchtag, it is clad in buff-colored brick, with the ground floor along the avenue lined with metal-and-glass storefronts. The building is a mirror-image twin of 200 West 93rd directly to the north; the twins are linked by a basement and 1-story storefront in the middle of the block.
The south facade is divided into three wings by a pair of deep, narrow light wells, the eastern one beginning above the ground floor, and the western extending down to the sidewalk, enclosed by an iron gate. The residential entrance is in the middle wing (where the ground floor is faced in painted limestone), in the eastern of its two ground-floor bays. It has a recessed sliding glass door with glass sidelights and a fanlight, covered by a black canvas clamshell canopy. The west bay has a double-window with iron grilles and a segmental-arched fanlight; there is a row of balusters below the window. Both bays are flanked by pilasters that narrow towards the tops, where they carry an entablature with a row of triglyphs and a cornice. The 1-story section to the right, below the light well, has a metal service door and a filled-in window opening. The east wing has two small windows at the west end of the ground floor, and a storefront at the east end. The west wing has three bays of double-windows at the ground floor, with iron grilles, stone surrounds, and cornices. There is a small, gated basement entrance at the west end, set down low in the facade via steep steps. The ground floor on each wing is capped by a modillioned cornice.
The upper floors at the outer wings have three bays - with paired windows on the 2nd & 6th floors, and the 3rd-5th floors having tripartite windows in the outer bays and paired windows in the center. The middle wing also has paired windows at the outer bays, while the center bay has very small double-windows. The 2nd-floor windows have stone surrounds and are topped by pointed-arches, while the 6th floor has brick surrounds and tan terra-cotta arches filled by cartouches and scrolls. A wider arch encompasses the middle bay at the east and west wings, with a larger cartouche in the center. Medallions decorate the spaces above the end bays on all three wings, each of which is capped by a small, plain cornice.
The interiors of the light wells are clad in the same brick, and have four single-windows on the side walls, and three single-windows at the rear walls, with the center window staggered at half-floor intervals.
The east facade along the avenue has a single-window in the center of the upper floors, flanked on both sides by a paired-window bay, a tripartite window (on the 3rd-5th floor)/paired window (on the 2nd & 6th floors), small bathroom window, and paired-window end bays. The 2nd & 6th floors have arches and decorations like the south facade. An iron fence spans the 1-story storefront that connects the two buildings.
The north facade, above the storefront, is clad in tan brick and also divided into three wings by smaller light wells, and has many paired and single-windows, with brown metal fire escapes.
The building contains 67 apartment units. The ground floor along the avenue is occupied by 99-cent Plus discount store, Brooklyn Smokehouse, Playground Pups dog day care center, Elite Unisex Hair Salon barber shop, and New Asia Chinese restaurant.
