2-story postmodern substation building completed in 1985. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, the north and south facades are clad in rose granite, with brick-red aluminum grilles in each bay, barrel-vaulted at the tops. At the sidewalk level, the base is clad in rose granite and trimmed with an ogee molding. The west and east facades are clad in beige pre-cast concrete panels with vertical bands of stone aggregate.

The north and south sides have nine bays of grilles between the granite piers. The center bay at both facades has a section of red-painted pre-cast concrete panels at its lower two-thirds, with a garage door and metal service door. There are no openings on the west facade, while the east facade has four bays of grilles at the center, projecting out from the rest of the facade.
