 office building, 1979_construction

7-story modernist office building completed in 1979. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, it is clad in buff-colored brick with a a glass-and-metal curtain wall section at the upper floors and most of the ground floor. The main entrance is near the north end on the avenue, with a revolving door set between two angled glass doors. The ground floor on this facade is lined with a band of narrow window panes with beige metal framing. The band stops just short of the south end, and continues around to the north facade for almost half its length. Further east there is a small, square window in a metal surround, followed by a larger square window at the 3rd floor, and then another large square window at the 2nd floor (the only openings at the 2nd & 3rd floors). The east end of the ground floor has a loading dock with roll-down metal gate and a metal panel of the same size with a service door in it.

The 4th-6th floors have the upper curtain wall section, with narrow panes of silver glass between thin metal mullions. The curtain wall section doesn't quite extend all the way to the ends of the two main facades. There is a brick parapet above the curtain wall, topped by a simple metal coping. The top floor is set-back and houses mechanical equipment, with more on the roof.
