628-foot, 45-story International-style office building completed in 1971. Designed by Emery Roth & Sons, it is clad in a curtain wall of grey-green glass (darker at the spandrels) and thin steel mullions. The building is L-shaped, wrapping around the Rodin Studio Building at the northeast corner. The building is set back behind a shallow, raised plaza on the south side, which continues as a through-block plaza west of the tower, extending to 57th Street. The plaza has grey granite steps and paving, with ample landscaping.

The building's main entrance is on 56th Street, next to a large entrance/exit for the underground parking garage at the west end. A white marble wall separates the parking ramp from the entrance, which has two recessed bays also lined in white marble, both with a revolving door flanked by traditional glass doors. There is a small section of black granite cladding near the middle of the ground floor, with the east end having a glass, metal, and wood restaurant storefront that wraps around the to east facade on the avenue. The restaurant includes a 2-bay projecting area that is topped by a sloped red canvas roof. At the north end of the ground floor on the avenue is a smaller parking garage ramp. On 57th Street, the building is set back from the lot line, with an Art-Deco styled diner of metal and glass extending from the ground floor out to the sidewalk, and also extending back under the main floors of the tower. From the through-block plaza, there are additional entrances to the building, through glass doors in a white marble clad ground floor that is partially recessed under the upper floors.

The south half of the west facade projects farther out than the north half. The north and west elevations rise sheer to the roof line, while the south elevation and the east elevation of the south wing have a shallow setback above the 13th floor. There is a double-height mechanical floor directly above the setback.

The restaurant space on 56th Street and 7th Avenue is occupied by Redeye Grill, with 888 Cafe & Bar to the north of it, and the diner on 57th Street by Brooklyn Diner USA. The building is currently the headquarters of Vornado Realty Trust.
