Spinning Spur 1 Wind Ranch is a wind farm located from 2-5 miles north to 9 miles northwest of Vega, which is on Interstate 40 about 30+ miles west of central Amarillo, Texas. Commissioned in 2012, it consists of 35 Siemens SWT-2.3-101 (south section) and 35 SWT-2.3-108 (north section) wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 161 MW.
