Former site of the Foote-Jones/Illinois Gear manufacturing plant, which was owned by Regal Beloit Corporation. The long-closed factory was demolished in 2008. A plan for 213 town houses and 20 single-family homes was proposed in 2007, but the downturn in the economy caused those plans to be cancelled. In 2012 the southeast corner of the plat became Acero Roberto Clemente School.
