Buffalo Dunes Wind Farm is located about 9-20 miles (15-33 km) ENE of Ulysses and 25 miles (40 km) SSW of Garden City, Kansas. Commissioned in 2013, it consists of 135 GE Energy 1.85-87 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 249.75 MW.

Note: This wind farm was in the news in December 2014 when one of its turbines collapsed. That turbine has now been replaced.
