Smoky Hills 1 Wind Farm is located about 35 miles (56 km) west of Salina, Kansas, north of Interstate-70 approximately between exits 216 and 219. Commissioned in 2008, it consists of 99 GE Energy 1.5sle wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 148.5 MW.
