This is a split interchange between Interstate 66 and U.S. Route 17 near Delaplane, Virginia. The interchange also serves as the north and west end of I-66's concurrencies with U.S. Route 17 and Virginia Route 55, with access to Secondary Route 731 (Cobbler Mountain Road) as well. The interchange is primarily a Y-interchange with US-17. US-17 southbound enters I-66 eastbound on the left side, with a rather short acceleration lane. The movement from eastbound I-66 to northbound US-17 is not served directly, but is instead served by a single slip ramp about 3/4 miles to the west, using VA-55 as a connector road. This interchange was one of the first built on I-66, and has substandard bridge clearance.
