This large estate passed through a number of successful farming families from its establishment just before the turn of the 19th century through the early 20th century. In the 1930s, its new owners turned the estate's attention to the "hunt country" lifestyle, establishing fox-hunting and equestrian activity that continues to this day. The estate is now home to Goose Creek Polo Center.
