Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is a Star Wars themed flight simulator attraction.

Set in the fictional Star Wars universe, "The Adventures Continue" is the successor to the original Star Tours attractions. Whereas Star Tours took place after the events of Return of the Jedi, this attraction is set earlier in the film series' timeline, between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Star Tours now features 3D technology as well as new destinations that allow for 54 different experiences. The attraction opened on June 3, 2011.

The original Star Tours attraction opened January 9, 1987 and had one experience dubbed the Endor Express. Star Tours replaced the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction. It closed July 27, 2010.

Comments

  • If you can remember when this used to be Adventure Through Inner Space, you win the grand prize: original tiles from the Mary Blair Tomorrowland exhibit that used to grace the side of the building before the Disney bigwigs decided it wasn't profitable.
  • Most of the Mary Blair mural is still there, just hidden behind a facade.
  • So, with rumors(?) that there will be a Star Wars themed land (since Disney and LucasArt shacked up), will Star Tours move out?
  • The Star Wars themed land is confirmed. Closures for construction in the northwestern portion of the park are starting in January 2016. Star Tours will be remaining in Tomorrowland though.
