There are a total of 8 legally separate "Delta 3" wind farms here (I-VIII), although they are physically adjacent and indistinguishable from each other. They are located in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, on the Atlantic coast about 180 km east of São Luis and 100 km west of Parnaiba (in Piauí) and just west of Paulino Neves. Commissioned in the fall of 2017, they consist of a total of 96 GE Energy 2.3-116 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 220.8 MW.
