The GCEE Peralta Wind Project, consisting of two legally separate wind farms and thus also known as "Peralta I & II", is located in the Tacuarembó Department of Uruguay, about 100 km south of the city of Tacuarembó and 25 km north of the town of Paso de los Toros, on the southeast side of Route 5. Completed in 2015, it consists of 50 Enercon E92/2350 wind turbines on concrete(!) towers with a combined nominal capacity of 117.5 MW.
Note 1: The project consists of two legally separate wind farms only because of regulations in the tendering process.
Note 2: GCEE = Generadora y Comercializadora de Energía Eléctrica.
Note 3: This project is also sometimes known by the name of the developer: Agua Leguas.
