Premiering at the 1964 New York World's Fair before opening at Disneyland in 1966, "it's a small world" (stylized with all lower-case letters) is one of the most recognizable attractions at Disneyland. Guests enter a small boat and sail past topiary gardens, through colorful landmarks of the world, and singing dolls. They sing one of the most recognizable Disney songs, "It's a Small World (After All)" written by the Sherman Brothers.

  • Unfortunately, this ride is closed for the remainder of 2008. It's being refurbished to accommodate the growing waistlines of America.
  • Nope, it reopened with a "holiday" (e.g. Christmas) overlay in December 2008. It's currently closed to remove the overlay and reopening on February 6, 2009. Just in time for my next visit!
  • Can someone with WikiMapia street cred please update the main article to show that the ride has reopened? Thanks.
  • I heard they put disney characters in the ride!
  • They did, sweet cheeks. Thank the lard they're not too obvious.
  • We think they did a good job with most of them. It was fun looking to try and find them. They did not overwhelm the ride with them. If you were not looking for them you probably would not notice most of them. One of the better adjustments to a ride over time.
  • that song is sitll stuck in my head arghh
