Tell Rifaat Area

Tell Rifaat Subdistrict (Arabic: ناحية تل رفعت‎, romanized: Nāḥiyah Tel Rif'at) is a subdistrict of Azaz District in northwestern Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria. Administrative centre is the town of Tell Rifaat.

In the administrative division of the local branch of the "Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria", who administratively manages this area since 2016, most of the area is referred to as "Al-Shahba canton", and Tell Rifaat district ("naḥiyah") is mentioned only for the Tal Rifaat town itself and agricultural land in its vicinity, not including any settlement (small Bilounia village rarely mentioned as part of the district.) Villages around Dayr Jamal town and Menagh airbase (not including Ayn Daqnah village, which is part of Shahba canton) administratively belong to Shirawa and Shara districts of the Afrin canton respectively.
