North Aleppo border pocket is an area part of Aleppo Governorate, Northern Syria.
The area is under the control of a dozen armed groups part of Hawar Killis, Mare' and/or Jaish al-Fatah operation rooms and is directly supported by Turkey's Euphrates Shield operation in Al Rai and Jarabulus by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The Euphrates Shield territory refers to areas captured and occupied since August 2016 by the Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish-backed Turkmen and Arab (Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army) forces during the Syrian Civil War. Turkish-occupied Syria consists of a 1,620 square kilometre area which encompasses around 217 settlements, including: al-Bab, Azaz, Dabiq and Jarabulus.
The largest of FSA groups are Faylaq al-Sham, Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki and Sultan Murad.

The main centers of the border pocket are Azaz, Marea, Al-Rai, Al Bab, Bzaah, Qabasin and Jarablus towns.

The area borders Turkey to the north from where it receives economical and military support from the Turkish Republic, and borders the Federation of Northern Syria - Rojava to the east and west.
