Nome Wind Farm is located on Banner Peak, about 5 miles (8 km) NNW of Nome, Alaska. It was originally commissioned in 2008 with 18 "Entegrity" 50kW wind turbines (0.9 MW total). In 2013 two EWT Directwind 900/54 (900kW, 54 m diameter) turbines were added, increasing the nominal capacity by 1.8 MW. Over the years a few of the 50kW turbines have broken down and been removed, the most recent suffering a foundation collapse in September 2016, leaving 15 of the originals.
