For many years, this Louisiana welcome center greeted visitors to Louisiana with a large, homey building with Community Coffee and a boardwalk that had been rebuilt in the early 2000s. In summer 2015, it was closed and demolished for a replacement facility to open fall 2018, though in early November it was still closed.
