Railway station on the Fen Line (Cambridge to King's Lynn).
Littleport Station is a very small railway station in the Cambridgeshire Fens to the north of the city of Cambridge. The station is responsible for serving the transport needs of a small village called Littleport and some of the outlying rural areas. Trains are provided by the First Capital Connect with a limited Greater Anglia service in the early mornings and evenings. This station is unstaffed. The entrance is on the Down platform (Kings Lynn bound side) and to reach the Up Platform the tracks are crossed at rail level by means of a barrow crossing at the northern end of the platforms. As of February 2013 Littleport is the only station on the line that retains its barrow crossing. There are no safety gates and passengers/visitors crossing the line should do so with caution as some trains - both freight and passenger - pass through Littleport without stopping.
