The upper floors are set far back from the base and separated into two halves by a recessed middle section of metal panels is an abstract pattern of orange-red and a paler color. On either side, a bay of multi-paned windows, with an angled pane at the inner edge, and air-conditioning vents at the middle-base of each group, runs up to the band of beige brick just below the roof line. To the outside of the window are a band of red metal panels, and an outer band of beige brick.

The upper side elevations are faced in plain concrete. The rear facade has three bays rising straight up, with paired window groups separated by red metal panels, and exposed floor plates. Besides the lobby, the ground floor is occupied by Greenhouse 36 restaurant. The hotel was sold in 2011, and reopened as the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York - Times Square South, with 224 guest rooms.
