Commissioned in 2004, Lamar Wind Farm consists of 5 GE Energy 1.5s wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 7.5 MW.
The principal part of the Lamar wind farm (4 turbines) is located about 4 miles east and 4 miles south of the center of the town of Lamar, in southeastern Colorado. The 5th turbine stands about 2 miles west and 3 miles south of Springfield, about 47 miles south of the other 4. All five turbines are operated from the Lamar Light & Power control room.
