Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR) in Bhandara and Gondia districts, foresters have been caught entertaining tourists in Koka Wildlife Sanctuary in Bhandara district.
The 655 sqkm NNTR comprises five protected areas (PAs) including Nagzira (152 sqkm), New Nagzira (151 sqkm), Navegaon (123 sqkm), Koka (97 sqkm) and Navegaon National Park (133 sqkm).Unlike partial tourism in other sanctuaries and tiger reserves in Vidarbha during monsoon, the principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife) has imposed a ban on tourism in NNTR. However, flouting the ban, foresters from Koka and Bhandara were caught entertaining tourists who had thronged the tar road to sight a tigress named Alpha (B2) with three cubs.

The tar road between Paladi and Koka divides the sanctuary and rich forests on both sides. Many times wild animals are sighted crossing the road from either side. As there is no restriction on movement of traffic, it is free for all.
