St. Joseph's and St. Theresa's, Mahuadanr
St. Joseph's parish and school are run by Jesuits of the Hazaribag Jesuit Province. Both go back in time, having been started in the late 19th century. The school grew over time, coming into its present state in the second half of the 20th century (1970s). St. Theresa's is a girls' school run by the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross. This too has a long and illustrious history. Both schools have achieved wonders in uplifting the educational, social and economic standards of what used to be one of the most interior and rural valleys of Lathehar District in Jharkhand.
