Gangauli is a remote village in Buxar District of Bihar in India.Inhabited by very hard working farmers it has achequered history of 150 years. Situated on the bank of river Ganga the inhabitents of the village were self sufficient in food but suffered the calamities of flood. The erecting of a bundh brought much hope in terms of road communication and safety from devastations of flood.The productivity of land has gone down due to absence of floods and people still await road and electrcity.

  • i am a officer in bihar goverment and working as block devlopment officer.i was presiding officer in election and i visited this village.when i went there with police force i saw that people are casting their vote and one man was in line before that i have seen that he has already casted his vote. when i objected this man has fighted with me and police incharge came to me and said that he is from lal mohar thakur family,all of sudden one person came and told me that now you will face the probleme and he thrown me from the 8 ft height i felt and all police officerwas run away .after some time i came to know that the man thrown me was shri uma shankar thakur and he was prominent lawyerin district court.when i appoliged then he allow me to seat and told that you do not us.after that i come to know that this family has very high regard in their community and they hold the things at their will.
