condominium, Neoclassical (architecture), 1909_construction
5-story Neo-Classical residential building completed in 1909. Designed by Arthur M. Duncan as a 4-story stable. With the replacement of horse-drawn vehicles by trucks, the building became a garage; by 1925, it also housed a refrigerating plant. From 1946 to 1959, this building was owned and used by the Case Paper Co./Paper Storage Corp. It was converted into condominiums in 1996, with a 5th-floor penthouse addition.
The building facade is constructed of reinforced concrete scored with rustications and has pilasters and concrete cornices at the ground floor and roof. The visible side walls are also constructed of concrete and have lot line windows.
