3-story Federal-style residential building completed in 1836 as a house for Leonard Kirby, a dry goods merchant. It is clad in red brick in Flemish bond, and has an unusually low stoop. The Federal type paneled lintels above the third story windows are evidence of the original appearance of those below. A simple cornice crowns the house.
