5-story Romanesque-revival residential building completed in 1895 in two sections. Designed by Schneider & Herter, they two halves have the same basic design, but alterations have left them with slightly differing appearances. The yellow brick has been painted over in white at No. 81, and the stone details are painted maroon. A sideways-facing stoop has been added to the entry of No. 81, while No. 79's doorway has been lowered to street level. Both facades feature round-arched windows on the third floor and sphinx brackets supporting the cornice slab above the entrance door.
