apartment building, Queen Anne style (architecture), 1885_construction

5-story Queen Anne-style residential building completed in 1885. Designed by A.B. Ogden & Sons, it has a smooth-stuccoed ground floor, painted red, with a round-arched entry. The upper floors are clad in red brick, with the center two windows set in a recessed panel, and the roof cornice raised at the center to emphasize it. The window lintels are set on decorated impost blocks which, in turn, rest on horizontal stone band courses at second, third, and fifth floors. At the fourth floor the lintels of the outer windows are projected forward, pedimented at the center and carried on stone corbels.

There are carved terra-cotta panels between the outer bays of the 2nd-4th floors. The stone walls flanking the front stoop are topped by a pair of iron dragon figures.
