The purpose of the Rosenthal Meat Science & Technology Center (RMSTC) is to provide a facility to conduct teaching, research, and public service activities of the Department of Animal Science. As such, it is the most comprehensive facility of its kind in the USA, devoted to the development of science and the application of that science to the solutions of problems in animal and meat science.

A small area in the front sells fresh meat, beef jerky, and a few convenience items. It's unusual in that it doesn't take the campus standard Dining Dollars (as a student, where would you store your meat, anyway?)

  • It actually has a small scale meat processing production right there at the site. Cows go in, steaks come out!
