This is a small village(Sukaura)of Bundelkhand in border of UP & MP.Few monuments(stone building) of historical importance(period approx 1000AD) are still live, but due to ignorance of govt/ASI have almost lost its beuty & sometimes destroyed by local peoples.
The great personality SRI MAKHAN BABA(PALIYA FAMILY)was from this village, who sacrificed his life for saving the life of the poor & wricked farmers from the landlord(JAMINDAR)at nearby village REWAI (period approx 1800-1850 AD).Every year there are two occasions(Winter: Nov last week/Dec first week, summer: May)when big fairs are organized at his monument in REWAI.Local people have deep faith & respect for SRI MAKHAN BABA & is still being believed that he(Sri MAKHAN BABA)is continuously caring & ensuring safety of villagers & fullfilling their needs.
