3-story Federal-style residential building originally completed in 1819 as a 2.5-story townhouse for William Austen. The dormers were replaced by a full third floor and the house was widened at the left, where there had once been an alley, in the mid-1850s. It is clad in light red brick with stone lintels and sills, and and a simple roof cornice.
