 apartment building, 1893_construction

5-story residential building completed in 1893. It is faced in brown-painted brownstone, with a central entrance at the top of a small stoop. The modern glass-and-metal door is framed by squared pilasters, fluted at the bases, and with Corinthian capitals; these are fronted by a pair of rounded Corinthian columns on pedestal bases forming sidewalls, to create a portico. There is a large window on either side of the entrance, above basement windows; a black metal fence surrounds the areaways.

The upper floors have four bays of single-windows with eared lintels and rough-faced banding between each bay. The ground floor has thinner, but more widely-spaced banding. A black metal fire escape runs down the middle two bays of the facade, which is topped by a roof parapet with light scoring marks and a metal coping.
