6-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1897. Designed by George F. Pelham, it extends through the block to Commerce Street. The building first served as a combination hotel and boarding house before its conversion into apartments. The richly carved Renaissance ornament of the entrance floor is spaced with elegant dignity, and is echoed in the ornate ironwork of the balcony over the entrance which serves as the end of the fire escape. The roof is marked by a prominent metal bracketed and dentiled cornice.
