The Emory Condominium

166-foot, 15-story modern residential building completed in 2009. Designed by Morris Adjmi, it has a limestone base with the 3-bay facade constructed of grey, glazed brick. Zinc-colored metal columns, window frames, cornice and spandrels create a beautiful juxtaposition against its prewar neighbors. The stone outer piers at the base are lightly rusticated, as is the brick 4th floor. The brick outer piers of the upper floors are not rusticated. The base is capped by a stone cornice, and there are brick cornices above the 4th and 14th floors. A projecting metal roof cornice stair-steps out in three levels at the top of the facade. The upper sidewalls are clad in buff-colored brick, with two columns of punched windows near the front, and smaller windows at the rear.
