13-story modern residential building completed in 2005. Designed by Cook + Fox, the metal and glass-faced building narrows slightly at the top at the east end to account for the 1-foot lean of the neighboring building at 29 West 17th. A beige brick band runs up the west end of the facade. Grey metal beams divide each floor horizontally, with a vertical beam at the right side, and another separating the western window from the three eastern panes. Flatiron 17 was developed by Hakimian Organization. The ground floor is occupied by Aldea restaurant.
