This is Koh Hesarooyeh. It is called Koh Hesarooyeh because it is so close to Hesarooyeh. In addition, the Koh Hesarooyeh area and the land around it is mostly used by people of Hesarooyeh who graze their sheep and animals in the area. Some people may call it GHOR-e Hesaroo as Ghor in some dialect in Shahrbabak area means, hight or high Hill, pick or top. There used to be more grass and bush on and around Koh Hesarooyeh but due to Industrialization of the area, particularly, the Sarcheshmeh Copper Mine Complex and recently the Khatoonabad Melting Complex more amd more environmental damage is done to the whole area in Shahr-e-Babak. In addition, frequent droughts and over grazing the land has caused disaster. As a result, there is less birds, less, wild animals like wolves, deer, rabits etc. It is quiet visible that there is much less grass and bushes on and around Koh Hesarooyeh due to just mentioned problems. Regardless of all this, I personally love Koh Hesarooyeh and whenever, I am in Iran, I climb it as frequently as possible.
