527 Broome Street's a 7-story Romanesque-revival/Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1897, renovated in 1950. Designed by George Keister, 527 Broome Street's clad in tan brick. The ground floor has an extra-large metal-framed show window, & an angled basement skylight. On either side're round-arched entrances topped with keystones. The ground floor's capped by a corbelled brick cornice, with another cornice above the 5th floor. There're end bays of double-pane windows, with 2 centre bays of triple-paned windows. The windows all have rough stone sills, & the outer 2 windows on the top floor are round-arched. A red-painted fire escape runs down 1 centre bay of the facade. The ground floor's occupied by Chalk Point Kitchen restaurant.
