abandoned / shut down, apartment building, Federal style (architecture), 1820s construction

3-story Federal-style residential building completed in 1825 as a 2-story house for David Mulford. The 3rd floor was added later when the original cornice was removed. It now has a metal bracketed cornice with modillions and paneled fascia board. The facade is clad in red brick above a brownstone basement. There is a stoop leading to the entrance, which is framed by slender Tuscan columns with a leaded glass transom. Above the transom is a flat stone lintel, the same as above each of the windows, which also have stone sills.
