5-story residential building originally completed in 1867. In 1896 an alteration by architect Alfred Taylor included shoring up the foundation and converting the interior to a storage warehouse for oilcloth. The ground floor has grey-painted cast-iron columns supporting a brown metal cornice, with modern glass and metal infill. The upper floors are clad in red brick, with flat brownstone sills and lintels. The northernmost bay has been filled-in and converted to an elevator shaft, with an equipment penthouse added to the roof, where the original cornice has been removed. A black iron fire escape runs down the center of the facade.
The building was occupied by the Sonn Brothers Liquor company from 1912 to 1921, who moved from their earlier building a couple blocks south. It was renovated to condominiums in 2012.
