4.5-story Neo-Grec residential building completed in two parts. The earlier section (the wider western part) was designed by Charles W. Huth in 1870. The eastern section was designed in 1887 by D. & J. Jardine to match the existing structure. The ground floor has dark-grey cast-iron Doric columns, and piers featuring incised motifs typical of the neo-Grec style. Notched, segmental-arched openings contain historic wooden doors and windows, including some with transoms. A continuous metal cornice crowns the ground floor.

The three upper floors are articulated by continuous stone sill courses and flat stone lintels at each of the rectangular window openings. Metal support rods from a previous metal awning remain suspended between the windows. The facade is crowned by a paneled and bracketed sheet-metal roof cornice at the eastern section, and a somewhat smaller paneled and modillioned metal cornice at the western section. There is also a metal railing above the larger cornice.

The original building was used for liquor storage in the late 19th century. Both were later joined and leased by numerous butter and egg merchants. After sitting vacant for many years, the building is now condominiums.
