 apartment building, commercial building

4-story residential/commercial building originally completed in 1878. A 1-story commercial structure was built wrapping around the north and east ends of the building in 1960, but was demolished and replaced with a new one in 2015. The 1-story wing is clad in metal and glass and is quite narrow at the west end. Six bays with paired display-windows run along the west half of the north facade, with a glass door in the 2nd bay from the west. The glass panes grow slightly shorter in each bay as is moves east, due to the slope of the site. To the east of these six bays is a recessed bay with a service door, and a glass door with sidelight and transom. Then come two more show-windows, and a grey concrete bay at the east end with a recessed metal service door.

The 4-story original structure is clad in red brick, with a metal-and-glass storefront on the ground floor at the west end, framed by paneled cast-iron pilasters. The upper floors on the west facade have three bays of single-windows with black stone sills (joined by thin black bands) and flat, black lintels. A black metal fire escape runs down the middle bay of the facade, which is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets and panels.

The north facade of the 4-story building, behind the 1-story commercial extension, is faced in white smooth-stucco. In the center are three bays of single-windows, spaced closer together at the 2nd floor. The rear, east-facing facade overlooking the 1-story extension, is clad in white-painted and parged brick, with three bays of single-windows and another fire escape. There is a metal railing around the rooftop deck. The ground floor of the main building is occupied by Bowen Pharmacy, and the 1-story section by Gardenia Terrace restaurant.
