444-foot, 42-story modernist residential building completed in 2018. Designed by Arquitectonic and Schuman, Lichtenstein, Claman & Efron, it is clad in grey metal and glass with a base of grey brick and glass, and a glass-and-metal ground floor with a black granite water table. The building sprawls along most of 57th Street on this block, wrapping around a small, older, 5-story building at the northeast corner, and resembles a giant mountain of variously stacked blocks.
The ground floor on the north facade is mostly a glass curtain wall with thin, silver aluminum framing above the granite water table. The main entrance is near the center, with two sets of revolving doors and a set of glass traditional doors to the left, all covered by a large, dark-grey metal canopy. There are retail storefronts toward the ends of the ground floor, and a parking garage entrance at the west end, with metal louvers above it. The whole center section above the ground floor is set back to the main tower portion, which is divided into three parts. There is an east and a west tower section, the east one oriented east-west, and the west one oriented north-south; they are linked by a more-recessed "bridge" section of glass with thin metal spandrels and mullions. Both the east and west tower sections have bays of varying widths on different floors, delineated by piers of grey metal panels, and the windows are framed by aluminum mullions and spandrels. Stacked on top of the two main tower sections, above the 28th floor, is a third section, another box set on an east-west orientation, and slightly cantilevering over the east tower section below.
The center section of the north facade is framed by grey brick wings above the ground floor. The east wing rises to six floors, and has window bays of varying widths, some spanning two floors, with metal spandrels instead of brick. It sets back to the east section of the main tower behind it. The west wing also rises to six floors, and then a setback to a longer, 17-story wing extending along the rest of 57th Street to the west, all clad in brick.
At the far west end, above the garage entrance, the 2nd-6th floors end, but the set-back upper floors continue across, cantilevering across the 5-story void below.
The east facade on the avenue also has a 6-story brick base, with storefront space along the ground floor, and the east tower section set back above the base.
The building contains 1,028 apartment units, which is the second most of any building in the city. Part of the ground floor at the east end of 57th Street is occupied by Solidcore Pilates, and Lightbridge Academy day care center. Along the Eleventh Avenue frontage the ground floor is occupied by Honey Nail Salon, White Noise Coffee Co., and Century Medical & Dental Center.
