A pair of 7-story modernist residential buildings completed in 1987. They are separated by a mid-block courtyard. Both buildings are clad in orange brick with bands of darker brick at the ground floor. The wider building, on 53rd Street, has a recessed east end, with two bays of double-windows (there is one bay of east-facing windows where the recessed section meets the main facade). To the west, the rest of the facade is organized as a single bay, two groups of four windows, a group of two windows, a group of four, a group of two, a group of four, a group of two, a group of four, a group of two, and finally a group of three windows. All of the windows have angled stone sills above air-conditioning vents, except for the inner windows in the groups of four and the group of three; these are slightly narrower and extend lower, also with angled sills but no vents. There are band courses of vertical bricks between each floor, bookended by small, square stone panels at the ends of the facade. In the middle of the groups of four windows, these brick bands are interrupted by stone banding at the top half of the facade. The ground floor has a central entrance with a glass revolving door flanked by traditional glass doors; the revolving door is covered by a peaked navy blue canvas canopy that extends out to the sidewalk, across a few low stone steps (bordered by brick walls) that span the basement areaway in front of the facade. The areaway is fronted by a black iron fence. There is another small span with brick walls at the first group of two windows, where a metal service door replaces one of the windows at the ground floor. The basement windows behind the areaways have white iron grilles. The west end of the building has a large roof deck.
The smaller building on 52nd Street has the same basic design. It is organized into five bays with groups of three windows, where the outer and middle windows have the same characteristics as on the north building. There are also areaways fronting the basement level, with a small bridge at the western window of the 2nd bay from the east, where a metal service door replaces the window at the ground floor.
The 2-building complex has a total of 220 apartment units.
